This week, new episodes of 13 Reasons Why lead the list. Season 4 of the teen series was just released, and it marks the end of the show as a whole. 13 Reasons Why has long been controversial in the eyes of some viewers for airing an incredibly graphic suicide scene at the end of Season 1. Still, the show continued on to create a new storyline full of high school devastations and discoveries. The graphic scene was removed by Netflix in 2019, two years after it first aired.
So what else can you watch this weekend? Here are Netflix’s Top 10 most popular shows and movies as of Friday.
1.13 Reasons Why
This high school drama looks into mental health, friendships, relationships and crime in an unusual take on the teen lifestyle. The first season begins with a box of tapes from a girl who killed herself. Each tape explains how the people listening either helped or hurt her in her short life experience.
2. 365 DNI
This seductive movie climbed Netflix’s top chart quickly after the internet questioned its intentions. Without giving too much away, there’s a kidnapping and lots of seduction, which some don’t think should ever go hand in hand.
3. Space Force
The Steve Carell comedy continues to hold a spot on Netflix’s big board despite being slammed by lots of viewers. Reactions are mixed to the workplace series that follows Carell leading America’s new military branch. Some love the humor, while others think it’s lacking. That hasn’t stopped the series from succeeding, though. It’s been on the Top 10 list since it aired in May.
4. Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich
This survivor story shines a light on the women who were abused by financier Epstein. 7. Fuller House
The series finale of Fuller House is now streaming, and it seems like lots of Netflix viewers are saying goodbye to the Tanners for good. The ultra-fun sitcom is sure to wrap up like every dramatic, odd episode before it. This time, it’s set to feature a triple wedding.
